So the other day, I was researching different types of boutonnieres because just like dresses, flowers, cakes (all things wedding), I like sophisticated, clean lines, unusual yet elegant items. It was really fun, and I actually pinned an entire board on Pinterest – take a look at how different boutonnieres can stray from the typical to a little edgy with style. It was at this point that I started thinking about costs. I know you’re just going to add it into your flower budget, but it is an item that can go either way – inexpensive to rather pricey…and depending on how many you need to order, could really make a difference.
The average cost of boutonnieres made with real flowers range between $10.00 – $25.00 depending on the size, the type of flower, the arrangement and if the flower is in season at the time of your wedding. Roses, tulips, daisies, orchids, lilies and carnations are the most commonly used flowers.
Silk boutonnieres are typically between $5.00 – $10.00; however, I found one website where you could get a basic silk boutonniere on sale for $3.99.
Also, don’t forget you’ll want to order boutonnieres for the Groom, Groomsmen, Ushers,
Ring bearer, Father(s), Grandfather(s) and possibly the Officiant, Speaker and Musician/Singer(s).
Good luck and think unique!!
