NC Vineyard Wedding with a View – Brittany & Jason
Talk about fun!!! From the moment I met Brittany & Jason last year, I just knew we were going to plan their wedding together. They were looking for a vineyard venue (which everyone knows I love), they were concerned about the quality of the wine (another great connection) and they love great food (I mean who doesn’t love a great food & wine pairing)!!!
I actually made appointments for them to experience five (5) different vineyard venues instead of four (4) because I always like to surprise my couples and ensure that they absolutely fall in love with one or two of the vineyards. As it turned out, the vineyard chosen was actually their last appointment which they had debated even going to because they had pretty much decided on another vineyard that day. They went anyway and guess what – Round Peak Vineyards was booked — it had the best view and totally won them over!
Move forward to Labor Day weekend, 2016 – it was time for the rehearsal to start and as I entered one of the cabins on the vineyard grounds to gather the family, Jason’s Father called for me to join them in a toast. What a wonderful, happy scene as the family circled together to start the weekend sharing in the couples’ joy with a glass of wine. It was such a wonderful weekend, and it was so nice to get to know their families!
One of the couples’ priorities was sticking to their budget which is so crucial, and I know they were happy that they succeeded and were still able to have the wedding that they always wanted. Some of their savings came from purchasing their flowers from The Farmers Market in Greensboro and having the bridesmaids create all of the centerpieces, and having wonderful, talented friends who officiated the ceremony and also handled the ceremony music.
Brittany definitely made an entrance – one of my favorites as the gazebo was a bit of a distance from the vineyard, she got into an antique car with a proper driver who drove along the vines until she was almost to the ceremony site – it was so sweet to see her Dad open the door and escort her down the aisle.
Another unique wedding dynamic was the wedding party – tradition was tossed aside as Brittany’s best friend, Patrick, was maid of honor and Jason’s best friend, Lindsay, was best man. We had lots of laughs coming up with new titles for the roles. It was just fun, relaxed and very much what they had envisioned!!
Loved too that they had their guests sign wine corks and drop them in a cylinder frame – I know it’s going to be a great discussion piece in their home for years.
The band was fantastic and kept the dance floor hopping all night! Talk about desserts, they had seven (7) cakes and a wedding cake – just amazing!!
It’s sometimes hard working with a new group of vendors but this wedding went so smoothly – everyone was on top of their game! Charity at One Crazy Love did an awesome job capturing all the fun!
